Payment Terms & Traveller / Trekker Safety Agreement
Naturelty trips are outdoor, locally coordinated experiences. This agreement explains the booking terms, the practical nature of the stay, our responsibilities and the responsibilities of every traveller or trekker.
Many Naturelty experiences use simple, remote or locally managed stays rather than standard luxury hotels. Organising local staff, transport, meals, activity support and stay arrangements in these locations can be challenging, especially when weather and local conditions change. We still work hard to serve you well and keep the trip comfortable and organised. We request your patience and understanding if small practical changes are required. Electricity, mobile network, Wi-Fi, hot water or other facilities may also vary by location.
Naturelty’s responsibilities +
- Plan and coordinate the confirmed itinerary, stay, local transport, meals and included activities as communicated for the trip.
- Share important known changes to the itinerary, weather plan, pickup or activity schedule as early as reasonably possible.
- Give activity-specific safety instructions and use trained or appropriate activity personnel where specialist activities such as rappelling require them.
- Make safety-based decisions to delay, change or stop an activity when weather, water level, road, terrain or local conditions are not suitable.
- Keep an emergency coordination contact available during the trip and arrange reasonable first-response assistance if an incident occurs.
- Respect travellers and provide the experience in line with the inclusions and arrangements confirmed before the trip.
Traveller / trekker responsibilities +
- Provide the correct name, contact number, emergency contact and a valid government ID when required for stay, transport, permits or local checks.
- Tell Naturelty before the trip about relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, recent injuries or mobility limitations that may affect safe participation.
- Follow the trip leader, local guide and activity team’s safety instructions. Do not leave the group or enter restricted terrain or water without approval.
- Wear suitable footwear and clothing, carry required personal medicines, stay hydrated and use appropriate sun/rain protection.
- Do not participate in trekking, water activities, rappelling, ice baths or other demanding activities while under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances.
- Respect local communities, homestays, nature, wildlife and other travellers. Do not litter, damage property or disturb unsafe/restricted areas.
- Take reasonable care of personal valuables, phones, cameras and luggage, particularly around water, rain and trekking routes.
Trekking, waterfalls & natural water safety +
- Outdoor routes may include wet rocks, mud, uneven ground, steep sections, insects, wildlife, changing weather and limited mobile network.
- Waterfall, river, stream or natural-pool conditions can change quickly. Enter water only when the Naturelty/local activity team confirms that the location and conditions are suitable.
- Use helmets, harnesses, life jackets or other safety equipment whenever the activity team requires them. Do not remove or misuse safety equipment during an activity.
- If the guide or activity team closes a route or water activity for safety, the decision must be followed even if the activity was part of the planned itinerary.
Ice bath, mud bath, bathing & sun exposure +
- Ice bath, mud bath, natural stream bathing and similar wellness activities are optional. Participation should be based on your comfort, health and the on-site safety instructions.
- Cold-water exposure may not be suitable for everyone. Travellers who are pregnant or have heart, circulation, breathing or other relevant medical concerns should seek medical advice before participating and inform the trip team.
- Do not dive, jump or enter unfamiliar natural water unless the activity team has specifically approved it.
- For sun and heat exposure, use suitable clothing/sunscreen, drink enough water and tell the trip team immediately if you feel dizzy, unusually weak, breathless or unwell.
- Stop any wellness or outdoor activity immediately if you feel pain, severe discomfort, breathing difficulty, faintness or another concerning symptom.
Weather, itinerary changes & booking understanding +
- Nature-based trips depend on weather, road access, water levels, local permissions and on-ground safety. The order, timing, route or activity may change when required.
- Naturelty will prioritise safety over completing every planned activity when conditions are unsafe.
- Any trip-specific cancellation, reschedule or refund terms will be shared and confirmed in writing before the advance payment; those confirmed booking terms will apply.
- By paying the advance and joining the trip, the traveller confirms that the trip details and this safety agreement have been read and accepted, together with any trip-specific instructions shared before departure.
Outdoor travel involves inherent risks that cannot be completely removed even with reasonable planning and precautions. This acknowledgement does not remove any rights or responsibilities that apply under law.

Munnar is not only about fixed tourist spots; the route itself has viewpoints, tea estates, mountain roads and natural photo opportunities. Monsoon weather can change quickly, so the guide may make safe weather-dependent stops instead of following a rigid route. Travel is by TT only. Lunches and attraction entry fees are not included. Zip line is optional and paid directly. Kollukkumalai sunrise access depends on local weather and operational conditions.
