Here's something we've learned about Uttara Kannada: the biggest waterfall isn't always the most beautiful waterfall. Sometimes a small cascade hidden behind forest and farmland becomes the place everyone talks about after the trip.

But hidden waterfalls come with responsibility. Rain changes everything — water levels change, rocks become slippery, routes change, streams become stronger.

Never blindly follow a location just because somebody posted a beautiful Instagram reel. Local knowledge and current conditions matter. Adventure should create memories, not unnecessary risks.

7. Keep One Sunset Completely Unplanned

This might sound strange coming from a travel company. But don't plan every minute. Keep one evening free. No checklist. No “must visit.” No rushing.

Find a quiet coastal or backwater location. Sit down. Put your phone away for ten minutes. Watch the light change.
